The first quarter of my last year of my undergraduate career will start tomorrow. I’m just about done packing up and will be moving a car-full of crap into my dorm. I’m marking this momentous occasion by not finishing packing and instead upgrading to MovableType 4.21 and changing the template. I forgot how much stuff I had changed so I’m working on getting that stuff back.
My old linux machine broke today. I was just thinking that I should backup the data on it. When I booted it up today, I managed to get to bash but then it shutdown. I’m pretty sure it’s the power supply so I’m going to try to fit a new one in tomorrow after I move in. I really want to just build a new computer to replace that old and dusty box.
Thank goodness for backups, because I was way too cavalier when upgrading. If Dreamhost didn’t have a built in backup system, I would’ve lost stuff when I decided to just copy over all of the new files..
