Sick Week

There is a very drunk girl lying on the hall. She asked if I was Ryan. Now they are trying to move her to the bathroom, or bedroom. Somewhere not in the hall where she’s yelling at random passer-byers.

I got sick this week which has made me unbelievably unproductive. And since I’ve been unproductive, I’ve also been unable to blog about all the awesome things that have happened. For example, on Saturday, I went to the Bridge School Benefit Concert with Tiff, Jesse, and Izzy. It was awesome. The best song of the night was probably Neil Young’s “A Day in the Life” cover, but this past week, I’ve done almost nothing but listen to Norah Jones’s cover of “Jesus, Etc.” So maybe Norah takes the crown now. The best performer was probably Sarah McLachlin. And the band with the most potential to grow is Cat Power.

It’s weird that since I found that moment so eventful, I didn’t want to blog about it until I could really do it justice. I don’t think this is the real spirit of blogging. What happens is that things like this end up on the back burner until the moment has all but faded away. Hopefully I’ll learn my lesson and be more impromptu with my blogs.

Another random tidbit I wanted to blog about from earlier this quarter. My friend taught me a new word: shnap. It’s when you’re at work, you’re feeling tired, and the only way you can run away from your boss to catch some z’s is the shitter. So, you take a shnap.
