My grad students introduced me to The Big Picture, a site that showcases great collections of photos from around the world. Two days ago, there was a collection on robots. Flipping through them was pretty creepy. The uncanny valley is far worse in robotics than in computer graphics.

The trailer for Pixar’s up and coming film, UP, came out today. I think it looks really good! I watched it with the people in the graphics lab, where after enjoying a time through, proceeded to pick it apart frame by frame. Graphics people are picky.
