I got a new cellphone!

The previous one I had decided to stop displaying things on its screen. At the time, for whatever reason, AT&T would not let me get a new free phone so I used my high school phone. I’m amazed at how well it worked! It was a hand-me-down phone back then, so that phone had to have been around 4 years old.

Technology is supposed to be amazing, but I’m not amazed with my new cellphone. Since my high school phone is so old, there was no way to mass-move all my contacts from the phone memory to the sim card. This means I’m going to have to manually enter all my contacts into the new phone, using the stupid cellphone T9 interface. The phone does have bluetooth though, and I felt it was a reasonable assumption that someone out there solved the problem of letting users upload contacts from their computer onto their phone. Sure, I don’t have any contacts on my computer, but I’d much rather type out names on a keyboard than 9 sticky cellphone buttons.

That’s about the extent to which I’ve used the phone. I took a picture with it’s snazzy 2MP camera (with flash!) but as of now, the sim card still isn’t activated. I’m about to go on a roadtrip to SoCal. Maybe I’ll have some downtime to tinker around.
