Aside from bouldering in San Diego, I haven’t been climbing since October. I went to the gym today thinking it would be open. I even checked the website because I had made the mistake of showing up, only to find the climbing wall closed. Lo’ and behold, it was closed when I got there. I came back home, and found out that the wall opened on April 6th. I’ve been having trouble with life lately.
I’ve hated biking to my classes ever since I got my bicycle. This made no sense to anyone else, but for me it made perfect sense. Although biking was faster, it was extremely harder for me. I always knew there was something wrong with my bike. I wasn’t incredibly weak—I’ve ridden others’ bikes just fine. I figured since my bike was a $50 walmart bike, it was the price I pay. Before heading to the gym today, I decided to re-pump the air in my tires. Our campus has a nice strong airpump (kind of like the ones at gas stations). I’d used it before, but I always have this fear of the tire exploding on me. There is a little pressure gauge but it always looked broken to me.
For the first time ever, I correctly pumped air into my tires today! The side of the tire said to put in 40-65 psi, and I managed to figure out how to read the pressure gauage. My tires have 55 psi! Guess what? Biking felt like flying.
I feel so empowered. My next mountain to climb is, embarassingly enough, figuring out how to use gym equipment. I don’t even know how to use treadmills correctly. Something about their primitive LED screens completely baffle me.

Would be easier with a command line, wouldn't it?
the tresidder bike pump exploded my tire once. it was really loud, but i survived.
